About the Game
I have developed the Mahjong Marvel Game, which allows you to play the full American Mah Jongg game for free with three bots. You can play through this site or go directly to mahjongmarvel.com.
To play this online game you must have your own copy of the 2025 or 2026 NMJL card, which you can purchase from their website (a link is at the bottom of this page). The larger size print is better for most people. Avoid buying the card from other sites — they will be cheap but many times inaccurate.
This online game is best played on a desktop computer, but it can also be played on a laptop or tablet, though the visibility of the play area will not be as good. A smart phone can be used, but due to the small screen size some features will not be available — such as seeing the exposed tiles of all the bots at game end — and some scrolling will be needed to adjust the playing field.
The Practice Section
Unlike other games out there, in addition to regular play I have produced an entire Practice Section divided into three areas:
Note that in Practice Play and the actual game, there is a 3-second delay after each bot discards a tile. This mimics the brief window you have in live play to call a tile for an exposure.
Practice Play is a quick way to learn a new card — it will show you hands you might not be considering. It is not 100% perfect but it is very good. Click on the game image above or on the Play The Game button and have fun!
